About Us

Park View Café is set in the thriving community of Canton, which accommodates three popular parks - Thompson`s Park, Victoria Park and Llandaff fields. We are located opposite Victoria Park, a perfect spot for a well earned cuppa and cake after a stroll in the park.

Our cafe is a Social Enterprise, originally set up with funding from the European Social Fund and additionaly receivig support from the Big Lottery. We are exceptionally proud of our reputation for providing delicious home-cooked food, a creative and ever-changing specials menu, and a selection of delicious deserts. It’s easy to see why Park View has become a popular lunch venue, even if we do say so ourselves!

There is always a variety of hot meals available, with organic and vegetarian options. You can mix and match favourite parts of your meal with new tasty options, we are very flexible aiming to cater to the different tastes and needs of our customers. Everything can also be ordered as a takeaway, just ask our friendly staff who’ll be happy to help. Our prices are very reasonable, including a kids menu where a meal deal costs £3.00 – this includes a cup drink + ice cream!

Our aim at Park View Cafe is to keep the strong community feel of Canton alive by welcoming everyone to our small cafe. Additionally, we are keen to support the sustainability of the Welsh language, and have recently produced a brand new menu design in English and Welsh. Croeso!

St. Luke`s community centre was formally opened by Cllr. Russell Goodway and Blessed by The Bishop of LLandaff RT. Revd. Roy Davies on 17th November 1990.  We can proudly say this date was the beginning of it all.

At the invitation of The Prince of Wales Committee which financially supported the Project H.R.H THE PRINCE of WALES, Prince Charles visited this centre on 12th July 1991.

Park View incorporates a large indoor seating area as well as an outdoor terrace used in the summer months.

Ingredients are primarily sourced locally as well as by our own organic farm project ‘Field Days Organic’ in the Vale of Glamorgan. We always have a good range of hot meals available including tasty vegetarian options.

We are a sister organisation of Innovate Catering which also incorporates Greenshoots Catering and Teaspot at St. Johns.

Recently we had some fantastic media coverage through WalesOnline.
